Poultry Research Farm Het Spelderholt is located in Lelystad. The farm conducts technology assessment research. The farm has four experimental barns. One barn is equipped for research with broiler chickens and ducks. The second barn is a multifunctional building with a covered run, and is being used through 2010 for research with broiler chicken parent birds. In addition, there are two barns for research with laying hens: one barn with small experimental units and one with an aviary system.
